Hi All
I need to replace all the sound deadening and insulation on the trans tunnel and floor of my S2, does anybody know where i can get this from or is there any alternative to the original stuff ? Have tried to salvage some from a car being broken but it doesn't come out in anything like a usable state.

Thanks

Alan

Try the sound deadening shop, for foil faced MLV and source separation high density foam

The only way to do it with any success is to completely strip the interior of the car and then recover it completely, it’s probably the best part of a £500 job

In that case I would ring the shop mentioned above for advice, they are very helpful

But as far as I know you need a layer of mass loaded vinyl, then a layer of closed cell foam, they do make some stuff that’s all this in one layer no idea how hard it is to work with

I have used the two layer method in most of my 968 and it’s made a big difference
