The weather's improving and I'm finding motivation to crack on with replacing my clutch. I've had the parts for long enough...

I'm doing the RMS at the same time and having read too many stories of the rear main seal leaking after being fitted I wanted to err on the side of caution and print a tool for it. The plan is a 'cap' that sits on the seal, over the crank end, then uses the flywheel bolts to push it in gently and evenly.

My only issue is I haven't managed to find the dimensions for the flywheel mounting, and was hoping to have at least v1 of the tool printed before I start disassembling things. Does anyone know the diameter of the flywheel bolt circle?

TIA :)

To follow up, I eyeballed it with the verniers at 69mm that's probably +-1mm but was accurate enough for me to get a press tool printed. I'll see if it works this evening!

Main reasons seals leak when people install them is because they don't lubricate them. The need a good dose of grease so they don't run dry on first start up. Otherwise they tear & that is the end of them.

Thanks :)

Lubrication I can do (and will do generously!), but I've never got the knack of knocking seals in straight. I had the capability so I figured I should give making a tool a try.
