Hi All

I'm looking to replace all four tyres on my standard D90 wheels. However each wheel currently has a different brand of tyre with the following measurements:

Front 225/50/16 96v
Rear 245/45/16

I wanted to check are these measurements correct because im struggling to find a supplier other than continental (sport contact 5p) who can provide these sizes.

Im thinking are the current tyre sizes correct? does this sound correct/wrong to any other D90 owners?

Hi Mark,

My S2 has D90's and these are the sizes I have and I believe they are the standard sizes...

Front 205 55 16
Rear 225 50 16

Currently Bridgestone S02 all round - purchased a couple of years ago.

These are Turbo sizes.

Plenty of choices in these sizes, try to get something relatively soft, I ran on Goodyears which I liked.

I think 225 front and 245 rear were fitted to the turbo D90s 7.5” fronts and 9” rears.

Correct. Turbo D90's and CS wheels use 225/50/16 front and 245/45/16 rear. Conti do them and also Toyo T1-R which are a fair bit cheaper. I've not seen another manufacturer that offers both sizes.

When I checked the other day Pirelli now make N rated tyres in Turbo sizes...

Pirelli P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico 245/45 ZR16 (94Y) N4

The Continental N2s are very good.

You only need N rated tyres if you want to maintain your Porsche warranty for the rest of us it’s a waste of time

And really restricts your tyre choice

My Brand New Audi A4 came from the factory without AO rated tyres just standard Pirelli P7’s

Yes I know - just my OCD likes to have them and I've never had a problem with the Conti Sport Contact N2s - they wear pretty well (used to be my daily driver) and handle well in the wet.

Looks like Im in the market for a new Bridgestone S02 rear after this weekend.

On the plus side, I did find out that my spare inflates correctly and looks good as new.
