I've been on here 10 years and I've yet to hear of someone bolting a S/C on a 2.5 and it being better than a 944 turbo.

Nice article. Forgotten all about Heritage in Shoreham. Must pop down sometime.

Steve is a nice bloke and put me on to Nick, who serviced my car last year.

I also have a Stag and someone managed to bolt a supercharger to their engine and get 300 bhp out of it. It’s still running which is more than I can say for mine at the moment. I would imagine space and heat would be serious hurdles.

Look forward to seeing how you get on, but if you’re like me there is never enough time.

A project that would be just as interesting is a 944 fitted with an electric motor. Given the cost of engine rebuilds I would have thought this now plausible.

I've owned 4 Stags in the past, are you saying someone doubled the power by bolting on a supercharger?

I thought that as long as an engine was tip top you get around a 40% power gain with a Super Charger. :)

A few of us spent a morning with the guys at RUF in September, they smiled about fitting an SC. Turbo all day long for those guys because of the heat.

My mistake it was 220bhp, it was the Saxplayers’ Stag that had 300bhp. Their he used a much more straightforward approach. He fitted a TVR engine.

Don’t worry, sticks and stone and all that. It seems to be the nature of club forums nowadays.

Always nice to get some recognition for these cars. Good luck with your project.

PS I have a 924 GTv8 (tribute to the 924 Carrera GTs) your welcome to have a go at painting that, although I am based in Scotland.
