Your car is the heavier S2, and you will not notice the difference anyway

The B6 on the back of my super heavy 968 really made a difference to the handling and no detriment to the ride

They replaced brand new genuine and the difference is amazing, I have brand new genuine fronts, once the £2 jar is full again they will chopped up for B6

I'll check if they can order the 1042 instead of the 403.

Cheers to all.

Hi Maurice

I have just re checked the Bilstein online catalogue and the only B6 front shock listed is 34-000403.

The 34-001042 seems to be a more heavy duty version of the other part number but for some reason Bilstein don’t recommend it for the 3.0L S2

Regards

Tony

I found this in my bookmark folder, https://www.fahrwerke-stossdaempfer.de/ ... front.html compared to this https://www.fahrwerke-stossdaempfer.de/ ... =34-000403 I think my thought process was an S2 is more like a 968 than a VW1303 (super bug)
