Can someone tell me if mine are correct as trying to order from local distributor here in Malta? Would like to be certain for the collars to be fitted.

According to Bilstein here, they are replacement shocks for BOGE equipped cars but I'm pretty sure my S2 has SACHs!?

34-000403 and 24-020527 are what I had fitted to my 1986 8v. For your S2, you'll need to modify the front struts e.g. http://www.tipec.net/_forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=23096

Yes, that is what I intend on doing. But, are these the correct B6 part number to fit to my S2 struts?

34-000403 & 24-020527 went on my S2 Cab.

I think I went with 1042 as it was also suitable for the 968, it also has slightly stiffer rebound rate

Actually that link does not show the S2 Strut as compatible with any of the B6 Sport!?!

But, I have been informed, both the 403 & 1042 are compatible. Most probably will go for the 403 for road use.

Oh yes, that is correct!

It still states the replacements are for BOGE Struts but to my knowledge, mine are SACHs!?

Boge were the old screw top ones, sachs are a cut and shut job,

not hard you just need the collars welded in

if they fit the screw tops then they should fit the crimp tops, but i would go for the 1042 ones as they are for the heavier cars and will match the rears better

I've been told these are used when upgrading springs. But, I should be using my own springs; would you still use the 1042? Their Bilstein book only states the 403

Have you got to cut the tops off, then yes

Your car is the heavier S2, and you will not notice the difference anyway

The B6 on the back of my super heavy 968 really made a difference to the handling and no detriment to the ride

They replaced brand new genuine and the difference is amazing, I have brand new genuine fronts, once the £2 jar is full again they will chopped up for B6
