I posted my 944 story in the newbie area but basically its been stood for over 2 years and although fsh prior to standing i am looking for advice on what to do prior to trying to start her. I know my way around cars but not 100% familiar with porsche engines, i am guessing oil and filters and fresh fuel as any other car, anything else that i should be aware of with these engines.. any hidden extra fuel filters anywhere.. thanks in advance.

Do you know when the belts were last checked or replaced, belt failure is normally terminal for the engine

I'm sure others will have more suggestions

Unless you're sure it's good you might want to do the water pump at the same time as the belts and rollers as it's much easier to do it all in one go. And 'whilst you're in there' it's sensible to do all the front of engine seals (crank seal, oil pump drive+o ring, balance shaft seals etc...) as it's quite frustrating if one starts to leak after you've had everything off.
