Can some one please confirm the correct tyre size recommended for my 82 944 lux on std cookie cutters as per the U.K. Spec owners manual. I have an owners manual downloaded which states 185/70/15v or 215/60/15v but I've read people's posts on here stating the manual says either 195/65/15v or 215/60/15v. I think my manual is a U.S. one as it shows everything left hand drive. My car currently has 185/70/15v on but not easy to get affordable ones. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that's the copy I have which says 185 or 215 tyre sizes, I was a bit confused as searching on here I've seen a couple of posts that say the manual states 195/65/15, though I can't find a manual that states that. Guess I'll go with 215's unless someone can confirm that 195/65/15 is reccomended in the owners manual. I realise many sizes will fit and be sufficient, I'm just concerned with the insurance.

I'm pretty sure my 1986 car had 195s on it and that that size was stated in the manual. Unfortunately I don't have the car or manual anymore so can't check for you. It was on 15" Teledial wheels.

Somewhere on the Porsche website there is an approved tyre list for all models, that will give you the tyre sizes.

If you go for the 215/60 option Kuhmo do a decent tyre in that size at a reasonable price.

Cheers, I eventually found the approved tyre list that Porsche recommend, it was on the "Links every Porsche owner should have" on this forum. So my car can have 195/65/15 tyres on. My supplier says these are an everyday tyre and much better priced. Happy days!!

You may find that you have a better selection of tyres in 215, worth checking availability of both before deciding.

I know the Bridgestone S02 are well thought of in 944 circles. I have them on my 968 engined 924 and they always give me confidence
