The annual tyre kicking extravaganza for 944s at Rutland Water is on Sunday 18th March ~11:00am. All 944s are welcome.

There will be a pre-meet at Peterborough Services on the A1 for a convoy drive to Rutland leaving at ~10:00am.

It's looking like it will be cold. Just hoping there's no snow...

Indeed. The forecast for home on Sunday, according to the Met Office, has 90% probability of "heavy snow" from 9pm Saturday to 7am Sunday. If that proves to be accurate, my 944 won't be coming off the driveway.

That’s a shame, hopefully you guys can put it on the calendar for later in the year.

I hope so, Sean. We haven't had the best of luck with dates this year.

Originally we were going to have the Rutland meet on the 4th but we moved from that when, amongst other reasons, it was realised that would clash with the TIPEC AGM. As it turns out, the 4th would have been difficult weather-wise too.

Now we have had the traditional "Rutland weather curse" hit the 18th.

Rutland has always succeeded because it is "out of season". As the year progresses it becomes more difficult to find a day that doesn't clash with other (dare I say it, more exciting) events.
