Hi All, I picked up my 1984 Guards Red 2.5 lux just before Xmas, so I'm a new forum member and this my 2nd post. I drove the car back from West Sussex the day I bought it, ran faultlessly I'm a very happy chappy.
I lurked on this forum for a few months getting some good tips, I looked at quite a few 944's before I saw mine and as soon as I saw it I knew that was the one, didn't need to start it or even sit in it just paid the money.
The sills inner and outer all done 2yrs ago with photos on a memory stick, belts done at the same time, together with brake lines, fuel pump etc.. loads of history with 110k miles, Peter the seller even serviced and mot'd it before I picked it up.
It's only had 4 owners the 1st 3 being the same family, the 4th being Peter who I bought the car off and he is a Porsche technician.
I'm really enjoying the car and very impressed with an average of 33mpg.

Nick
