We have an early 1985 944 and the heater blower is not working.

The car has been stood for years and we are in the process of recomissioning and the heater blower is not working, have tried the obvious fuses. Wandered if there was a specific item i should may be look at 1st or a way I can check/test.

Have you checked the resistor module that governs the fan speed?
If these are corroded, the fan will not work and the fuses will be good.
The module is located on top of the fan housing underneath the plastic cover. Remove it carefully and clean it in some distilled vinegar. Worth spending 69p and giving it a try.
