Post subject:  Clutch Judder when decelerating

Hi All.

944 S2 - had a new clutch fitted ( new design Sache with the springs) and new slave cylinder fitted.

Everything is fine apart from when deceleration and changing gear, whilst braking, getting a massive judder going through the whole body.

Transaxle off again and the mount disintegrated. Ordered the semi solid one from Design911 and had it fitted. ITS EVEN WORSE!!!!

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have just ordered the OEM mount which will arrive on Tuesday and fit this.

HELP! :(

Take it to DW Performance in Wellingborough. Unit 4 Denington Court. Kev will diagnose it for you. He does discounts for TIPEC members and has a cars and coffee morning this saturday.

Torque tube bearings? I had vibration almost between the seats on lift off from speed which has gone after a refreshed torque tube fitted.

Sounds more like the clutch to me hopefully it will improve with a bit of bedding in. I would have thought knackered tube bearings would be there all the time and would have been there before the clutch change. Just dread to think the clutch was fitted incorrectly, it has happened. The semi solid gearbox mount does certainly transmit more nvh. I did mine 'cos mine fell apart when I replaced the torsion springs.

So to update the judder -

Took it back to the place that changed the clutch, he removed everything to check it was fitted correctly and it was.

He then remove the transaxle mount and it fell to pieces!!

I ordered a new mount from design 911 - semi solid version as was only £10 more than oem and thought it would be better.

Actually it made things even worse, so I ordered an oem mount, had this fitted.

Today was the 1st using the car, drove 100 miles and it’s absolutley perfext now, no judder at all :).

So I now have a semi solid mount for sale as design911 will not take back as its classed as used. This would be good for someone wanting to track the car.
