Had a search but can't find it!
Who was selling the pattern metal replacement wings for the 944 a while back?
Thanks

Sorry, you are out of luck, I bought them.

The only other replacements I've seen are oem at £700 each or fibreglass on eBay for around £200

Good luck in your hunt

944-Scott bought some from a guy on eBay. They were S2/Turbo ones though. There's a company in Italy that make them and I think the guy managed to get them to make up a batch. If you can get hold of 944-Scott maybe he can give you the details, you could at least register your interest and ask the guy if he plans to get more.

The company that makes them is called EMBO I believe. They don't sell to the public but apparently EuroCarParts has an account. I tried to get one through ECP but I gave up in the end - head office said I could get one but needed to contact a local store, but every time I called the local store they said they'd call me back but never did. Might be worth trying them again though.

Yes I remember they were being made in Italy, it's S2/turbo ones I want! Seems a bit crazy if they are being made but you can't buy them direct!

It might be that they are made to order, so only sold in batches. I could try emailing the guy at EuroCarParts (if he's still working there). Could be worth trying a local ECP store and ask them if they can get you one. I think it required some kind of special order and there was never anyone there that could do it when I tried. I think the EMBO part numbers are 614410060 and 614410070 if that helps.

If you have rust issues, a decent bodyshop can knock up a bottom section for a lot less than replacement wings and will look a lot better once done.

In the end I sold mine as I didn't need to have more paintwork done, I did however have some small amount of rot in the bottom of the existing wing which had already been repaired, I bought one of the pre made repair panels being sold on ebay and its been hard work making it look good. I wish I never sold the pattern wing now :(

Hi Scott. Shame you didn't get to fit the wing. I chose to have mine repaired also but it would be good to know if there is a cheap and quality alternative to the £900 wings from Porsche.

There are a lot of cars being broken out there, and many used wings in pretty decent shape available at a snip of the price. Still be cheaper even if it need s bit of body working and painting.

My experience 2 years ago was that finding a decent used S2/Turbo wing was very difficult. All needed repairs or had been repaired (a repaired one I was offered was more expensive than the pattern wing). Values have gone up since then, so I expect fewer cars are being broken (maybe??).

Anyway I'd still like to know of any decent aftermarket parts just in case I ever need them.

EDIT: Not saying there is anything wrong with a repaired wing. When I was looking I already had a wing that needed repairing so not much point buying another. So I had my own wing repaired.

I've been in touch with EuroCarParts who contacted EMBO but unfortunately the wings are no longer produced. I note that EMBO are still listing them on their website, and it seems strange that they produced a batch for Facebook/eBay guy so recently.

Looks like, for now at least, the only options are repair, fibreglass or OCP. Unless anyone else knows otherwise...
