They may be closing as a shop facing business but they're continuing to supply parts that are in demand on a mail order basis and the 944 chips will also continue to be produced.

That's a shame, first got involved with them when big Andy was running it.

I'm not sure that this is correct....their statement said that they would supply parts until they were exhausted or something else that I can't remember, might have been the shutdown of the website or such...IIRC a month or so away....it is sad to see this name close, I dealt with Promax Motorsport long before Andy took over and before they even had a workshop....the creator then based in Milton Keynes used to run the business from his home...I recall picking up my first purchase in 1999, a Lindsey Racing boost enhancer....oh, if only I knew then what this little extra boost would lead too.....you have a lot to answer for mister Andrew S.....:)

I called them today and asked him a few questions. They're continuing to run their other business and have found running 2 businesses has been too much to do so promax has been closed down.

Monkfish is closing for good as well, so looks like closing up completely.

IIRC Andy stated that Promax and Monkfish are closing down as he and co no longer have time to devote to the business's and will concentrate on another which I can't recall

Are you referring to Roger Keys?

I've dealt with Roger before as well as with him buying a car off me ; my old Stag. He IMHO is one of the good guys and certainly is known and helpful in the Triumph circles. I do know that for years he was saying the business was busy for him ; it took him over a week before he could see my car and that was in the pouring rain at night time! That was a few years back now.

It's a shame things have come to this and that they are now out. They are one of the Porker specialists I'd rather have stay in. I guess with the 944s becoming more of a classic and less used probably doesn't help. That and exchange rates...
