This is an '84 (i.e. square dash) 944. Both windows were working fine until the weekend, when we went rallying. A bit of rough stuff, and foul weather conditions interspersed with some very hot spells, so the windows were up and down all the time ... until at one point I went to raise them both at the same time, whereupon the passenger one went up fine but the driver's stopped three-quarters of the way up. Neither window will now move, either from the driver's or the passenger's switches. I suspected either the fuse or the relay, but post-event investigation shows that there is no power to the fuse (16A, number 8 ). For what it's worth, the door courtesy light switches both work, but not the windows, whether a door is open or the ignition is on.
Where should I check next ?

Thanks - would that stop the feed to the fuse ?

For future reference in case anyone stumbles on this thread, it's now sorted. It was actually fuse 4 (HRW) which had blown. For some reason some bodger had wired the fusebox so that the window fuse is fed from the wrong side of the HRW fuse. Go figure !
