my 1988 944 S has 17" wheels and wide ones at that and the ride is harsh.
I have got a set of 15" teles off ebay but have just discovered they are 6J not 7J.
Everything I've read talks about the correct wheels being 7J and I'm wondering if these narrower wheels can be used.
All I am interested in is a more comfortable ride.
If these wheels are acceptable any ideas on what size tyres I should get ?
Thanks

Jeff

PS the new teles have the correct offset

Hi a set of four 6x15" teledials should be et52.3 ? as used on the 924S 2.5

These will give you a great ride quality, due to their narrow width, higher tyre profile an lighter weight
but they will sit quite inboard compared to a 7x15 rim You may, or may not be fussed about this ?

Tyre sizes 195/65/15 will be fine, I recommend Goodyear Efficient grip Performance (V rated)
