My "sin" roof was working more or less as it should, could open it, close it, take it out, etc. only issue was that it didn't raise/open very far, only an inch or so.

So following a quick scan of some of the info on here , it was a possibility that the front micro switch in between the sun roof visors may not be allowing the roof to open fully, so I gave it a bit of a gentle readjustment (pushing the triangle area that houses the micro switch with my thumb, etc, as suggested in some posts).

Good result, the sun roof opened fully using the switch, a lot further than it had before........unfortunately, it would not now close with the switch

I managed to close it manually using a plug socket in the boot , but I guess I now need a new switch, or relay or something ?

The sun roof opens fully with the switch , but won't close with the switch, nor will the arms now retract using the switch to get the roof out.

Any ideas as to what to check /try first ?

Whilst manually closing the roof, I noticed the drain tube item below (inn the battery compartment) not connected to anything. It's not the one from the hatch locking pins, and was near the negative battery terminal, but I couldn't see anything obvious to reattach it to.

Again, any advice as to where it should be attached would be gratefully received

cheers

The drain tube pictured is a vent hose for the battery, there should be a small hole near the top of the battery on the casing that the angled connector will fit into. It just stops any fumes from the battery entering the cabin.

Many thanks, I'll have a good look for that vent hole
