Seeking out fresh pad set for the 924 turbo. Currently using Mintex M1155 front and M1144 rear which I found worked well for my useage and lasted some time since brake refresh 7 years ago. A change needed as the calipers have become crusty/sticky and now have uneven pad wear. Refurbed calipers and new discs sorted. Looking to buy the same Mintex pads or potentially Carbone Lorraine or similar. But, I am struggling to find them listed on various pad resellers websites, and if I do, the prices are a bit steep. Any recommendation on pads and/or suppliers to call? Pads are the same on 924 turbo / 924S / 944 single pot calipers.

Blackdiamond Predator pads for fast Road and occasional track use. Think they do a pad up from that for more track work. Have the predators on my 944., same caliper as you.

Have a word with Ian, at Carbotech. He's very knowledgable, and will be able to supply a compound based on your requirement.
I will be using Carbotech pads on my early 944 once I've ran it in.

What Discs have you chosen ? and how many front sets did you get through in 7 years..or surely you don't mean
you've had the same sets of pads in the car for 7 years ?

Interesting, Not seen them before.

I see they also do one off custom applications .
When I next need some the softest and lowest temp available which looks like their bobcat 1521
which works from ambient to 480 degs, the next one up needs 65 degs before it starts working.

I'd have a chat with trackm3 on here and see what he has to offer. He's knowledgable and sells pretty decent kit he has tried and tested himself.

Thanks matey. Rightly or wrongly I had previously parked Black Diamond into the EBC brakes corner. Whilst both are well distributed, potentially not a brand for me, purely for some of the negative feedback given out there v's the positive. I may be misguided?

Oh ! Maybe you did have the same set of pads in for 7 years as well as the Avon tyres for many years that normally last one race weekend!

I'd stick with plain discs Brembo / Sebro and Eurocarparts Textar pads or similar and not go anywhere near any "Motorsport pads" as the title only if the road 1155's lasted you that long, clearly you hardly getting through / using brake pads like anywhere fast!
