Went for a drive up in the moors tonight, the car performed fantastically, everything normal, temp, oil pressure boost ect.

On the way back at a set of lights i noticed a lot of smoke behind us, and a shed load more when we set off. seemed to stop after about 2K revs then got really quite bad and i pulled over and had us towed back by a freind.

Cant see much with the dark but the oil and water levels seem fine. It does start, runs a bit lumpy and produces a LOT of smoke.whats going on chaps?

Head gasket? :(

rick.

Hi :)

Unfortunately white smoke is almost always one of three things...

1, Head gasket -80%

2, Cracked head - 15%

3, Cracked block - 5%

What you need to do is find someone with a Snap-ON HEAD testing kit...and get them to run a test (takes about 10 minutes)

All the best Brett :)
