Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my 924S and coming from the 2 litre models, it's all new to me!

The car was running perfectly and started first turn of the key. A couple of days ago I removed the clocks to change the surround (it had wooden veneer!) and tucked away the wiring on the passenger side. Now it won't start and I'm getting some weird things going on...

The fuel pump only runs with the key in accessory position but as you crank the car, it turns off!
I cannot jump the DME relay to power the fuel pump.
I have a small tach bounce.

I have changed the ignition switch for a known good one, no change. Another DME relay is on order.

Using a multimeter, I have 12v constant at the fuel pump fuse & pin 30 on the DME relay. Pin 86 (ign) I have 0v with the key out, 12v in accessory and 9v when cranking.

My understanding is that the fuel pump should run when cranking and not before. What could be getting in the way of this? There are some old immobilisers present but why is it the pump will run in accessory position? I'm already at my wits end!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
