Early dash cars dont have a 924 type wheel as someone has stated: only very early cars have this. 1984 and 1985 cars had a lozenge type wheel.

Leather was a cost option; otherwise you got vinyl. I dont think that Ive ever seen a vinyl wheel though and Ive seen hundreds...

Porsche offered a Momo wheel as a cost option. I believe that it was a Momo Corse. They had the audacity to charge for this, even though a Momo Corse cost about £100 at the time, including a boss; whilst the OPC price for a replacement Porsche lozenge was approaching £1,000!

Was just flicking through the owners manual (dated 83) and it has a picture of a lozenge wheel on it.
Thinking of swapping for something a bit smaller now anyway.

To the best of my recollection, 1983 cars had a three spoke wheel similar to that on a 924, along with 924 type trim. I think that the four spoke wheel became standard fitment when the trim was updated (later coat hooks etc).
