Or possibly they did turn up and once they saw it changed their mind :?

Seans right though. A photograph will normally make the paintwork seem better than it really is, but the bonnet and nose do seem quite dull even in the pics.

Word of advice to those that might be interested in buying this car off this person. He is not a good person to purchase from. In fact I am currently taking him to court for the car he sold to me under promise of certain things that had been done etc. When I got it home he decided not to honor his word and emails. (A total crook in my books, don't trust what he says!!)

Sorry for the rant, he is lucky he lives so far away as think I would have voiced my opinion in the flesh!

just seen this post (I realise its over a month old!) but thought I'd mention that I nearly bought an S2 of Buchanan motors.

Ebay listing looked really good - very nice all round. Looked at their website - said they only sell nice condition, HPI clear cars so I was reassured and ready to buy.

Then I got the reg number - did an HPI check and found out it had been a Cat C write off. The dealer claimed to be shocked and surprised by this (surely he'd check himself?) I made him a much lower offer but he declined.

Since then I found out the car had been sold on ebay before but the buyer chose not to go through with it. Buchanan motors has also had 3 negative feedbacks since then for not listing problems (serious ones!) with cars they've been selling (despite taking lots of photos and describing their cars as perfect). The car I was looking at went for £2k - for a 1989 S2 with 125k miles on it - pretty good price. So I wonder why the buyer has left no feedback and 2 days later bought another S2 as well.....

personally I think I had a lucky escape - particularly since I've picked up my S2 today (pics to come!) and its absolutely fantastic - a credit to the previous owner.

Chap on PCGB forum bought it. I'm not sure if we've heard from him since actually.
