Who out there needs to be converted to the glory and ways of the 944S?
Oddly I just happen to have a nice one for sale!
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/619393.htm

In all seriousness its a decent, honest car with lots of the important (read expensive) bits changed and I shall really be sorry to see it go but go it must - things change.
I have read all the Rennlist threads about trick cams and such for the S but in reality a decent 944T is going to give me all me bang for my buck so to speak.

So if there are any comments on the ad (be gentle!) or should anyone like the look of it then drop me a line.
Regards
David

ETA I seem to be showing 6 whole posts to date! I promise I was a bit more active on the P1.net and PCGB. Same user name. David

Yup they do but the S & S2 & 968 are 16 Valvers & DOHC, the belt drives one cam & a chain half way down the head drives the other cam. The chain wasn't part of any Porsche service schedule & at around 100K eventually stretches & A. trashes the sprockets on the cams which means new cams & B. can break, leading to mangled top end, big MONEY!

yeah and the slipper wears through, and originally didn't have a service life !!! until there was a few failures, the slipper is quite cheap whereas the whole adjuster is not

I'd edit the ad' to say that it's the most tuneable of the '44s bar the turbo. Don't say least desirable. Tidy interior. :)

Thanks for the comments - I might re-word a few bits! A bit too honest perhaps.
As has already been said chains are known to stretch and then snap resulting in huge bills to rebuild (or more realistically replace) the engine. I ,too, was under the impression that they weren't originally on the service sheets.
Just got to find the right person out there.
