Getting excited now. The rear end is rebuilt and rear wheels mounted and fitment perfect. Front end is all together too. Just need 2 spacers and the car is ready to drop on the floor and reveal the new look!

Lots of pics to come soon as i get a chance to get near it.

got the car rolling now, just to mock up, and check fitment of wheels etc.

all seems to work pretty well and have wheels clearance front and rear and on full lock too.

wheels are 18x11.5j et8 with 20mm spacers rear, fronts are 10j et10 with 20mm spacers too.

i have some more body panels to offer up to see which style i like the best, but i quite like the different style of this with the gtr grp5 rear arches, and wider 944 type fronts.

i have the box type arches to offer up, as well as the grp5 front eyebrow type arches, so will see which combo i prefer then make a decision from there.

rear end needs jacking up slightly to get a small amount of rake, and front wheels need negative camber dialled in too. but you get the idea.

it looks even meaner in the flesh!

i will upload more pics of the rear end rebuild/refurb etc when i get 5 mins.

next stage is to make a front splitter, and mount a big rear wing to get that real race car look. i also have some side skirts i want to offer up as well

That will be the easy part. Heres 550bhp out of a 1.8T

Car is looking great Nick. I guess you are going full Time Attack style on this?

Offered up the rear box type arches. And they require a bit more width at the back to fill the arches properly. So will order some slightly thicker wheel spacers and offer up again. I think I prefer the box arches as they suit the front better.

I may have a full set of gtr group 5 arches front and rear if anyone else wants to build a group 5 wide body.
Nothing decided yet until I have offered everything up. But I'm leaning toward box arches all round.

Power wise It will start off with 300-350 hp to get the car mobile and tested. Then improve and turn up the power from there. It will weigh under 1000kg so will be quick anyway. I did a track day in a 550hp car that is 1800 kg and it wasn't slow! That's 300hp per tonne.

I would imagine with 350hp it will be well over 400hp per tonne.

I intend to actually use the car and I don't know how many of you have driven a light turbocharged car on track that's rwd and no driver aids. But 400hp per tonne is plenty for most skill levels and keeps things from breaking every time the car is used!

Once I have got to the level of extracting all the performance available from the car and the chassis set up perfectly. Only then will I consider more power. As in most cases, u just don't need it and it makes the car scary rather than fast.

The main aim above anything else is to get the car together and moving under its own steam!

rear box type arches offered up, needs slightly wider rear wheel spacers and a bit of arch trimming to get perfect fitment, but i love the look!
