I appreciate that this is an old thread but I was wondering if there were any updates to the information posted earlier in the thread?

Thanks :)

Sorry to resume this old thread, I would like to share what I did to my 944 S2 Cabriolet.

I started with a ProMAX Power Kit (http://www.promaxmotorsport.co.uk/produ ... r-kit.aspx), i.e. remapped chip + K&N air filter, and a stainless steel Dansk 92.442S catback (3rd on the right):

Then, after some research including this thread, I also replaced the cat with a custom resonator designed by me and built in stainless steel:

This is the original cat that was removed:

This is the final result:

And this is the sound (recorded with a smartphone):

I didn't test it on the dyno, but overall I'm very satisfied. The sound is full but no drone while cruising

I still can't find a manifold to take 4 individual throttle bodies ( unless someone here can ) so I'm looking at cutting a spare manifold and welding a plate to take 4 60mm bodies.
Any advice is welcome, especially on controlling fueling,
Can I keep the original injector set up?

The main benefit I can think of going to throttle bodies is to make the engine rev higher, You'd potentially then need to go to a dry sump setup. Michael Mount in the US could probably sell you what you want, but it will cost plenty. Peep (Raceboy) that sells the VEMS kits may be someone else worth contacting.

I'm not really looking for more revs, but I believe with the itb's & a set of decent exhaust manifolds a can increase the mid range torque and throttle response. I have spoken to Lance at Haywards, and jenvey, but looking at efi industries in ozz.
My problem is the manifold, I can read all the books on size, runner lengths etc, but it all just seat of my pants home made engineering.
That's why I'd prefer a kit from someone with proven results.
Cheers
Thanks for peeps details, now registered
