Parked the car as usual this morning. (Far from anyone else & out of the way.) Came back to find a dent the size of a football in the drivers door. :banghead: Back to the paint shop & another big bill. Bit cheesed off to say the least. The door will have to be stripped out to get to the back & the mirror taken off. Probably not been moved in 20 years. I'd post you a picture but I can't bare to look at it. :crybaby:

Here’s hoping that your insurance can cover it, at least.

Bad luck, needless to say no one saw it? Where was this, in a public place?

JJ

Really sorry to hear about this. Hope it is not too painful on the wallet.

It really winds me up and shows the total lack of respect for others these days

I know how you feel. A few weeks ago I found a similar sized dent in the bonnet of my 3 month old VW. No damage to the other cars just mine, it pissed me right off.

Also know a couple of other people who have had their cars vandalised recently. Seems to be a spate of it at the moment which is pretty disgusting.

Really sorry to hear that mate. Some people are just mindless. I took my kids to school today and some little g1t (well not that little - secondry school know it all chav) started flapping my petrol cap and then proceeded to run his hands and school bag down my 944. He didnt however notice me sitting in it at the time. I gave him a short lesson before school, he apologiesed, then he saw the badge and said to his mate "oh sh1t its a Porsche", then he told me he was VERY sorry.

Thanks for all the coments guys. (I know whos responsible & there very embarresed. Looks like an insurance job as both cars are damaged. )Had it down the bodyshop & it's not so bad. 8 hours labour+paint+VAT. They've only quoted £150. Both the rear wing & front wing on that side have already been painted recently so should be no problem to match. While it's in think I'le get my new (old) hatch repainted body colour & the hubs as well ready for Gaydon. Will cost me a bit extra but what the heck. Then I really have to fix the sunroof..........
In future I will have to park nose in & see if I can get the otherside done.

Glad it wasn't too major a bill. That's part of the reason why my car is in the bodyshop right now because I left it on my drive for a little while and went inside and came back to find a dent conveniently foot sized in the door it also got worse every time I left it there so sorting some CCTV for it, before it comes back. It comes to something when just leaving it in the drive it isn't safe.

Good too hear that it's not as bad as first thought. It's always galling when you find dents that you know weren't there before. I came to polish mine last Friday and found a 5p sized dent in my rear near side wheel arch, I have now knowledge of having parked it anywhere near anything except at Goodwood on a track day. You'd think that someone with a similar interest would be a little more thoughtful :angry5: . Off to Dent Magician (again) and all is well, but it's another cost isn't it.
