Squeezed the wife, boys and the dog into the 924 and visited a local bike\car. Loads of motor bikes and a slim but good collection of cars complete with my wife getting embarrassed as people were taking photos of the 924 :D

Roll cage back in. Passemger 4 point harness fitted. Vacced carpets. Bled brakes and replaced center glove box becaause some scallies broke it and nicked about 50p change and my precious "antique" Porsche Zippo. It was unlocked so my fault. Flushed cooling sytem and added Stay cool to antifreeze. Runs nice and clean with vac lines replaced and new speed sensor. Off to Knockhill for the Porsche track day. Quite a few mods since last time including a set of A048r tyres which are fabulous, M0303 brakes, Linsey racing arbs and semisolid gearbox mount. The car feels much more stable in high cross winds with the new front splitter.

It's definitely the season for getting out in the cars - roof or no roof :D and its been a busy weekend with the cars - thoroughly enjoyable :)

Took her for a valet ready for the Trentham classic car show and then wandered up to OPC Bolton' and their Le Mans fun day  In amidst all the stunning new cars she did get some attention  Picked up my new ARB brackets and drop links from Adam for the 944 Cab

After spending all day Saturday cleaning and polishing the 924 and the 968 ready for the day out at Trentham and what a day it was :D 8) :D 8) :D

Incredibly hot day at Trentham - just brilliant! Thanks to my darling wife Sharon for driving the 968 as well :D Excellent transaxle turnout and it was nice to meet Ruby the new 928 in the group as well. Saw some lovely vehicles such as a well sorted Opel Manta with original paint and 18,000 miles that the the owner has had from new in 1984 and a 1937 Commer PN3 bus with sliding fabric sunroof :8 perfect for the Transport Festival. In case you're wondering, yes that is Stu's black 968 next to mine :D

Hi Endoman - Can you explain how you bled the brakes? Bit of a mundane question possibly! Also have an S2 and meaning to do them DIY - advice please if you can!

Thanks - Dave

Indeed - all part of the great British countryside!

Had a couple of hours to kill last night but not enough for a drive out so I took on the S2's ARB.... The centre is pretty much OK but the ends were pretty ugly...

Soon got to grips with the angle grinder and a wire wheel - just brilliant :)

Image

A coat of primer - do you like my cardboard spray booth  works well enough :D

Image

and then red this time round to match the car :) :) left them overnight and will add another coat this evening...

Betws y Coed is one of my wife and I favourite places to visit...last time there we stayed in the Church House B&B...lovely place with some great walks and restaurants in town...We try to visit Wales each year, mainly along the Pembrokeshire coast for a bit of dolphin spotting but also in Snowdonia. We are off on our travels again this week, leave Wednesday for a 3 night stay in Cardigan Bay, that's our base camp so to speak..it's fun and the car love's the roads, as does it's driver....:)

Drove the 931 in the mountains in the last two weekends.
Although its a ratty looking 931 it works very well, handles amazing and offers a great driving experience, even the AC works very well in these hot summer days.
