Attacked the rusty rear discs with a sheet sander and some 240 and 1200 grit wet and dry. They've come up like new and will hopefully keep the MOT re-test happy (along with a newly fitted handbrake cable).

I have 2 new one's to fit at the rear and... refurbed front and rear calipers, new pads, new fitting kits, 4 times flexi hoses... plus the brake pipes to do...

Yippee*!

What's the gen on standard replacement shocks?

Seal-it-wax-it Detailing in Reading, I’m very pleased with the result. Trouble is I don’t want to drive it and get it dirty now :(

Haha yes, there is that pitfall..

Things are slightly less dramatic in my 968 Sport camp, but restorative nonetheless..! Driver's Window Regulator repaired, restored and renewed..

I bought m.a.d touch up paint for mine. It's remarkably good but in a quick search, I couldn't find your Guards Red.

I have an OPC one but TBH I'm rather proud of all the stone chips.

Its basically a high foaming detergent that you spray on through a lance attachment to a pressure washer. By its foamy nature its sits in contact with the bodywork a bit longer and the theory is it drags off the worst of dirt before a bucket and sponge contact wash. Does it work? I think you'll get as many swear by it as those who think its snake oil. Personally I think its so quick and cheap to use that if I'm doing a big clean before a wax then why not, but unless you get super close under an LED light I've not seen a huge difference.
