Where can you get this 'snake oil' that you speak of?

I has been mowstly driving my 944 all through winter.
Today, I re attached the off side hatch strut lower spade connection*. After a brief conversation with Max at Frazer Part, which included talk of an AFM refurb/exchange job, he said, even the most prudent of gentlemanly Porker owners use a normal spade and some heat shrink when enquiring about that black insulated spade cover.
So that's what I did. Except I shut the boot and it popped off. Not enough cable. So I soldered in an extra 3cm's and did it all again.

*Say that when you're drunk.

I also unblocked the one way valve on the near side which was allowing water to the off side washer jet but not the other. Those metal crimped clips are a PITA to undo.

I got my adaptor from eBay for £10 and at them moment use Auto Finesse snow foam. I've tried Demon Foam before but despite different proportions of mix couldn't get a very thick foam unless it was nearly neat.

Heres various pressure washer snow foam attachments, you just need to match the fitment to your pressure washer;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... e&_sacat=0

Various snow foams;

Good luck

I use the Bilthamber Autofoam which has a nice fragrance and a decent amount of foam, comes with instructions on how to work out how much concentrate to put in your foam lance as well.

https://www.bilthamber.com/auto-foam

Got my foam lance from Amazon -

No. Not that stuff.
I want some of this 'Snake oil'.

I do like Bilt Hamber products, especially the Hydrate 80 ferrous treatment.
Every time I do a job on the car, it often involves some sort of ferrous treatment, paint and replacement of bolts/screws with SS.

For example, today, I replaced the driving light bulb (one click on the headlight switch) on the upper n/s driving light.
However, the screws that hold the lamp in were seized and the little L bracket that holds the driving light and indicator lens surround was a little worse for rust.
Treated, a coat of enamel on the bracket and a 20 min job turns into a couple of hours. Mostly waiting for drying time or Innotec Deblocker to get to work, mainly cursing at the seized screws.

It got a lovely coat of Fusso 99 on it...

I thinks it's the Dog's danglies.

Today I managed to get my car back together after replacing all the front bushes (Powerflex), fitting Koni inserts to my existing struts and refurbished brake calipers.

I took some pictures along the way however most of the time I was filthy & wearing gloves....

Image
Front anti-roll bar bushes appeared to be factory original & desperately needing changed!!!

Image
Freshly powder coated by a friend....Perhaps a bit bright for most but the difference is certainly noticeable 8)

Image
Front struts received the same treatment...

Image
Calipers looking nice & fresh after a full rebuild...

Image
Getting it all back together...

Image
Last picture before the under tray is replaced covering up most of the recent work.

Very happy with the results, the cars booked in for a full alignment on Wednesday however the brakes will need another bleeding. The pedal has a bit of travel and there's no real "feel".

Well, that ^ looks all very peachy.

I still haven't got around to fitting my front and rear refurbed callipers and new flexi hoses. I will do all the brake pipes too. I think that's the slightly daunting bit.

Yesterday, took sunroof out during a spin and managed to snap the little V bracket that holds the clamp for the sunroof in and... the n/s flap plastic hinge broke

Brittle old plastic. Another phone call to Woolies.

The 30 year old ones you buy from anywhere will just snap again, they are not expensive from Porsche

Unless the bits are NLA it really is not worth buying 30 year old plastic bits

Surprisingly. I have found 2 new brackets in the US. Ian Riley @ Porsche 944.com $10 each.
471 871 219 Air deflector. A new one in Sweden!

Did this on Friday but forgot to post up  Painted the replacement oil cooler bracket, cleaned & painted the front upper shock mounts.
Removed the rear ARB, looks like the bushes will need replacing as expected. Joy of joys, uppermost ARB bolt on drivers side sheared despite soaking with plus gas. Can’t get at it with the drill whilst on the car so looks like I now need to drop the rear suspension out  However, I will need to drop it all out anyway as the fuel tank needs to come out to change all of the fuel lines in an effort to cure the fuel smell pervading the garage since the last start up :(
Anyone got a good photo of the rear ARB for an S2? Am fairly convinced mine is bent where it shouldn’t be and would be good to know for certain as I want to get it blasted & powder coated before reinstating.
