Bloody frustrating getting no signal from rears and one is new. Diagnostic shows high resistance on valve side of pump?
When new sensor tested at plug gives a good signal, resistance a lot higher than the old one and it kicks out decent voltage. I'll swap the other side but I,m getting stumped. All relays good solenoids working, pump motor working. It's a fun little tool to use tells you what's wrong but of course doesn't say how to fix it.

Abs light no longer on, required both rear sensors.
Changed the supplied springs (7" 300lbs/in + helpers) with Gaz Gold shocks for Eibach 10" 250lbs/in. the helpers were doing nothing as they were fully compressed when suspension was unloaded. Do they actually try them on a car? The Gaz shocks have a 2" shorter stroke than the Konis, which had 12" Hyperpro 200lbs/in . Camber needs a bit of tweaking it's pulling to the left a bit but otherwise feels good.

Got the S2 Cab out for the first time this year :D

Vitals checked, roof down and a 45 minute drive in the sunshine.

(No stopping and socialising obviously - didnt even need petrol.)

Finally got the bloody radiator back in - installation is not the reverse of removal and nowhere is the secret of how to do it written down :cussing: could have saved hours of faffing around and the swear jar would not be able to pay off Africa’s national debt either

Finally started the Bilstein B6 conversion on my 944S2 front struts. I am using the Sportwagenparts.de thread inserts and following the YouTube video by Jurgen. All going well, but I have now realised that it not clear where the 44.5mm is measured from??? the end of the old strut is castellated with the old insert removed. I can see that plenty of you have done the conversion, but can not find an answer to this question in previous posts. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

In the video, Jurgen grinds away the crimped section of the shock tube so as to be able to remove the guts. He takes the measurement from the non crimped section of tube or the top of the castellation.
Drop me a PM if you want some help, I’ve just pulled apart my 4th set to convert & I have one set complete and available on an exchange basis if required.

Made up some replacement brake caliper link pipes. Bit fiddly but took my time & very pleased with the end result.

Also, purchased a set of Koni M030 Shocks & Springs from a TIPEC Member it turns out..!

Should be arriving this week, and wondering if I can swap them out myself..?

Currently have a KW V3 setup, which are old and need replacing / refurbishing..

Am keen to go back to Stock for comparison, may get the KW serviced in the mean time..

Has it got M030 on the build sticker, it was not bought very often at nearly 5k in 1993

The rears will be easy, just mark all the offset washers on the fronts and the camber should stay about the same

Just almost finished installing genuine cruise control, just need a new rhd throttle cable and a clutch switch

Last two bits to be fitted and then a test on some deserted highway

If it’s not on the build sticker who cares, have you got the big brakes to go with it?

I bought an RHD throttle cable in August 2018 - fitted well. I can look the source up for you?
