Can I just check that the part number I'm looking at is the correct one for a new Throttle Cable for my 1986 944 Automatic

944 423 023 07

When I serach the web it only shows cable for manual transmission - will this above one work OK on my car?

There are definitely different cables for autos-yours should be either:

945 423 071 06

or

945 423 973 02

If you ring your local Porsche dealer they should be able to confirm which.

I think you should have 944 423 071 06 which is as far as I can see the Auto right hand drive throttle cable.
