Don't you have a torque wrench? The whole point is they don't require physical effort. My parents have a spare one going if you need it?

Impressive bit of painting there, for just a spray can.

"Our dent repair methods (Paintless Dent Removal) are very effective and in nearly all cases there is no need to respray or flatten areas after the dent has been removed."

Guess yours will be the exception. :D

Yeah. Paintless dent removal, providing paint is still on the panel.

Guess Karma read that post, because my girlfriend reversed into my rear wing this morning and now I have a big dent and there are a couple of nice big scratches too. Dent isn't quite as big as yours but in the same place. Getting a quote for repair this week. Will let you know how I get on. :(

Also a stone cracked my windscreen on the way back home as well. I think I have REALLY done something to upset the Porsche gods this week!

Dave.

Oh dear...not good!

I've now got the strut and the new tie rod end on. Still need to tighten everything up - I've ordered and waiting for the Haynes Manual so I can get the Torque Settings.

I think this car is going to be the death of me..I hope I don't have much trouble with it once I get it back on the road, if I do...I think I might drive it and me off a cliff. lol

Just stay well clear of buses and I am sure you will be fine. ;)

Suspension is now back together and drivable, she's on her way to my Uncles place for the new door/wing and the rear wing to be repaired...I will be helping!

Just wondering, is the rear arch double skinned or is it hidden under the plastic wheel arch liner only? or is it possible to access the top of the wheel arch from inside the car? I haven't checked properly yet.

Thank you

Kat

Did you get a manual, do you need the torque settings?

I think I'm right in saying there are no plastic rear wheel arch liners, just front ones.

Yes, I have the Haynes manual and torqued up the control arm, strut, tie rod end and anti-roll bar. Nothing else in that area seems to be damaged but I guess driving it will tell. I will have to get the tracking and camber done once it's back on the road, although I did try to keep the same positions for the new tie rod end and I looked at the imprint on the old strut where the eccentric bolt was placed and set it back in the same spot on the new strut. Also, it was a bit of a nightmare replacing the bolt ontop of the strut, we used stilsons on a socket in the end with an allen key rachet and I tightened it up to a similar amount looking at the other strut top nut..who knows if that's right! lol

OK, so the wheel arch is double skinned then, so i'm wondering if I take the door card out from the interior if it's possible to push the dent out from inside the car.

Take the rear quarter trim out next to the back seat, along with the rear speaker, and you should have reasonable access back there for the dent.

A good pannel beater could get that rear quarter 95% there. A really good one would be able to get it 99%

Well done with your progress so far.
