My brake discs need changing sometime this year (I may try to get one more track day out of them first).

I wonder if anyone has any experience of discs other than OEM, for instance TAR-OX F2000's - or does everyone just fit Porsche and be done with it? (I intend to continue to use EBD Red Stuff pads or maybe Ferodo DS2500's or Pagid Blue's).

I've used other discs on other (non-Pork) cars & TBH not found a lot of difference. A nice disc but expensive is the Rossini from Car Parts Direct. I had these on the Alfa & they were good, as well as looking very sexy & being cheaper than genuine Alfa ones.

My 944 runs EBC pads on standard discs mainly because of lower dust levels.

Those discs look very nice. It's a shame that the ones for the front of an '89 944 Turbo are listed as "please call" which could indicate that they don't have them or that they are special order only.

I'm not too worried about the dust as I don't use the car that much (so it tends to get cleaned rather more regularly than necessary!), hence I don't mind going for grooved discs. I am, however, wary or drilled ones as I have heard that they can crack when used extensively on the track.
