Hi
Can anyone recommend a supplier of good quality car mats?
I have been confused by the wide range of mats available on ebay.
Looking for black mats c/w clips for a 944 s2.
Jen

Hi Jen :)

Do you actually mean mats (overmats) or carpets.... as there is a lot of confusion about which when people are selling them ?

All the best Brett :)

The best quality ones are made by a company called Lloyds.
I have seen them advertised on Rennlist - but they are not cheap.

http://www.lloydmats.com/

I need some Turbo script ones for my car, but cant justify the prices. Occasionally they come up for sale second hand on rennlist, alternativly try Elliot or Alasdair on this forum.........

I bought some off ebay for £60 and these were rubber backed/thick piled and edged nicely.
There are cheaper ones on ebay but they curl up after a short while and wear quicker.

Hi Brett928S2
Yes I mean over mats (I thought that was an Americaism!), not carpets.
I have a guards red 944 with linen interior and looking for some new over mats in black.
I want good quality heavy ones that will not move and also come with clips so I can attach them to the seat runners.
I was hoping for a recommendation before spending the money.
I may take my changes with some £50-ish ones on Ebay. If so, will post a reply when they arrive.
Jen

Just a word of warning , if you (and i know you didnt mention it) are tempted to buy some from porsche i understand there is a dodgy batch about. i know ive recieved two sets via a porsche indy. The profile is wrong and the holding holes are in totally the wrong spot.

Balders

p.s. ill follow you posts as i also require some

Mats are also on my lengthy todo list so I'll be watching with interest.

I am also after mats for a 944 S2.
I have been looking everywhere and there are millions to choose from.
The ones that look the best to me are the Black ones with Porsche embossed into them from the Porsche Shop.
£114 + VAT though so I am saving up. Grrrrr.
I too am watching with interest.

Mine came from Ebay. About £50 a couple of years ago and are holding up well.
There no holes for fixing to the seat runner but don't creep alot.

The mats in my S2 came from the Porscheshop and have been in for over four years now and around 12Kmiles with little or no wear showing on them, and the drivers one does fix to the seat runners so does not move at all, they are also pale coloured and clean up a treat with carpet cleaner and look like new afterwards.

I know they are expensive but I have had cheaper ones that look good do not fasten down and only last a year.

Sorry to reopen an old thread. I've just bought new mats from Porsche for my 944S2 and the fit does not seem to be right. They look different to the originals and the passenger side particularly doesn't fit. Wondering if I have a set from the dodgy batch, even though it is 8 years later. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi. Purchased from my local OPC. They raised a ticket with Porsche and after sending some pics they accepted that the mats had been incorrectly packed. I've now got another set from them, but the driver's side mat has the holes much closer to the edge than the old ones. I'm going to try the shorter set of fixing strips on the driver's side (rather than on the pasenger side as they were) and see if that helps.
