That's a bit weird!?! There was alot of 944's registered since 1992?

1 of 49 Turbo S, not bad because I believe there was only 72 imported. Sill over two thirds still going.

Other threads running on different forums have proven this data wrong.
Its a guide, but not absolutely correct.

I would still love to have a turbo S though !

There are two explanations I can think of...

One is "fat fingers" and the old computer adage of "garbage in - garbage out".

The other explanation is the possible definition of "registered" rather than "manufactured". An imported vehicle will presumably count as "registered" on the year that it was imported.

Nope it will be registered, that dictates the numberplate prefix. A lot of later 944s hung around a long time. Bare in mind that an S2 was circa £32K that was a lot of dosh in any ones book. Cabs & Turbos were £40K or so! My AROs 2.7 is on a G plate yet a lot of S2s are on the G.

Not 'til 2010 though... and there are two S2s down as first registered in 2010...

We, as a family, have 3 of 347 Porsche 944 Cabs - they now must be increasing in value.....
Worth spending a bit of time and effort on them to keep them pristine.

If you continue to buy them one by one........you would end up starving the market of supply and that will raise the price, then you could sell them all off at a stinking profit! Result!

Ironically, we could be looking for just one more - youngest son has been bitten by the Porsche bug and he is actively looking.... :!:
