Hi,
I can't seem to find a way of turning these on. Am I missing something obvious? Is there a switch somewhere I can't find, or are they supposed to come on with the main headlights?

Hi Andy,

The driving lights are supposed to come on when high beam is turned on. There is a fuse (F9) and a relay (G12) that controls this switching. If your lights don't come on check bulbs, fuse and relay. Hope that helps!

:D

As above: the driving lights arent independently switchable on the series two 944, like they are on the 934 and the series one 944.

Do they come on when you flash your headlamps?

Hi, Thanks, I feel a bit of a doughnut  , they do come on with the high beam! (I thought I'd already checked that).

Would have been useful though, to have on dipped beam.

But illegal. Driving lights come on with Main Beam & MUST go off when the lights are dipped.

Are we talking about the high wattage bulb in the bumper lights? The lower wattage bulb comes on with the popups, but then full beam seems to activate the high wattage bulb in both. (at least on my car!)

I also have a mysterious red LED in place of one of the centre console switches. I suppose that could be factory alarm, which I don't have a key for.

Your early car will have a switch so that you are able to turn them off. If the switch doesnt work then Id suspect an earthing problem behind the dash, which is common.

I havent ever seen this affect the operation of the sidelights (in the 924 bumper lamps), but anythings possible...
