Anyone know where I can get some MO30 uprated ARBs to fit to my 944 S2?

Also, has anyone done any work on the ARBs on their car? If so, is it as straightforward as Clarks Garage website would seem to suggest?

Just bought a set from Promax - they had another set left.

Porsche dont have any and are on back order - at least 6 weeks.

Thanks Rich . I see that they have MO30 kits listed for the 968, so assume that they would be a straight replacement on the 944 S2, given that they seem to come with poly bushes as well. Hopefully I'll be able to get their last set in stock .

I wouldn't waste your money. You can get stiffening brackets for the fronts that raise the rate by a factor of 3. Stiffer than mo30! Adjustable links for the rears are also available that do the same job. Lots cheaper than new roll bars. The S2 has pretty beefy ones anyway. Better spend the money on better shocks.

Hmm, thanks chaps, I'll give those brackets a try first then, as they are certainly a cheaper option .

And after saying that, I've just ordered a 968 30mm ARB myself. together with some poly bushes, the braces and some 968 caster mounts. That should all make a fair bit of a difference. Just look what you've done to me with all this talk of suspension upgades!

It does mean I'll have a turbo M030 ARB for sale once it is all fitted.

Sure if you have the money the bigger bars are better. But you still need the brackets or they don't work right.

Well the brackets should be here before the ARB so I'll fit them and see what difference it makes. My OPC said the ARB will be about 10 days and the bushes are going to be about the same from Larkspeed. I'm hoping to get them all fitted (along with a sump gasket) before the weather reverts back to raining constantly.

Iv snapped my mounting bracket, are these stiffing things the mounting bracket as well?

I may get some larger roll bars while I'm doing the job, got 2 put a new rack in aswell. Would now be a good time 2 upgrade 2 968 castor blocks? And change all the bushes?

If I get an adjustable spanner and tighten over the existing roll bars, remove then mesure the gap will that tell me what size I currently have? I no there's a proper tool 4 these things. Just can't spell it

The mounting brackets are additional supports for the stock mounting brckets, so I think your going to need a new one.

Just my opinion but I think replacing 20 ish year old bushes with the 968 castor blocks and new bushes (poly or rubber) is a good idea.

Brackets arrived this morning, fitted in about 20 mins and out once I'd cleaned up.


First impressions are that they do make a noticable difference. I wasn't expecting alot and to be fair there wasn't much difference but the front did feel a bit tighter on roundabouts and I had a liitle more confidance in it after a blast down a few twisty roads. Well worth £36 in my opinion.

If you chuck it one way & then the other you will see that the corner doesn't dip at all. It always did on mine before fitting the brackets. Make sure your drop links are in good order as the brackets stress them a bit more & if those bushes aren't good it still won't do the job. They should have come like that from Porsche. I think somebody was saving money in the mount design.

New poly bushes will be going on with the 30mm ARB but I'll check the drop links when I take them off. Cheers JJ
