Hi,

I've been looking for a 944/968 and have found this on pistonheads;-

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1134261.htm

Looks pretty tidy and I've spoken to the owner. Any thoughts?

I'll be at Knockhill on Sunday and I see there should be a club entry - I'll come over and say Hi as hopefully I'll be joining your numbers soon.

David

Hi & Welcome.

It looks pretty good, slightly expensive but that will be because of the very low mileage. It will need a careful look over & checking for any rot in the sills.
If you send me a PM with your mail address I'll send you a buyers guide.

That’s a very high price for an S2. If it’s in fantastic condition, then fair enough … but since it’s so pricey I’d recommend taking an experienced S2 owner along with you for a look at it.

Not that pricey if mileage genuine IMO

Just be worth checking for rust as Jim says, but if it's been stored and cared for properly it should be a cracker.

Hi

If you are at Knockhill on Sunday come over the stand and speak to RO Stewart Gordon.
He is an S2 owner and an expert on the 944. You will get a warm welcome, a free burger and loads of practical advice.

Join the club before you buy! No rush. Plenty about. The S2 whilst arguably the best model can be the most expensive to fix if it's not right. (Head overhaul with 16 valves & new cams £2.5K) Condition is all that matters. :)

Car looks nice albeit a bit pricey.

Ask when the belts were done - I know it says replaced at 49k but the car has very low mileage so if it's been more than 3 years I would want to change them regardless of mileage covered
