Hi everyone, although I've been a member of the Club for sometime I've never got around to introducing myself and the collection of cars I and my son, Glen, have built up in sunny North Wales.

My daily driver is a 1986 944 in Garnet Red Metallic but the remainder of our collection is made up of 924s in various states of disrepair and from the whole spectrum of variants and at present is made up of -

Two 1977 Martini Limited Editions (one, RYM 29R, virtually ready for MOT but unfortunately in Alpine White rather than Grand Prix White, and the other in need of attention to the bodywork and general recommissioning)

Another 1977 924 in silver (RYM 32R which has its engine in bits at present but is otherwise very original)

A 1979 924 Lux with the optional Getrag box (in need of recommissioning but has only done a genuine 55,000 miles)

Four other 924s ranging from X reg to A reg three of which are close to being back on the road and the fourth we have decided to use as a replica of one of the American market limited editions

Two Series 1 924 Turbos (one being ready to put through its MOT and the other a longer term refurb)

A Series 2 924 Turbo which we intend converting into a 924 Carrera GT/GTS replica

An early 924S (in need of general recommissioning and replacement seats)

Two 924S Le Mans one white and the other black (the white one was Sid Malik's spares car (he owns the black one photos of which appear in Peter Morgan's books) and the black one I've just bought on ebay and still need to collect but it looks a bit of a mess)

And finally four standard 924s which are too far gone to resuscitate and are parts donors

Hope to see you at future events.

Hi Sean, not sure of our movements at the moment as my son has just made me a Grandad and he's the mechanic! We are planning on being at Bodelwyddan Castle on 17 May for the VW Show as we live in the village and I would like to get to Tatton Park at the end of May.

I have trouble keeping my 944 on the road.

God knows how much space you must have for that lot.

Welcome

It was pure luck, we picked up RYM 32R in Morecambe a year ago and RYM 29R came up on ebay in Bromsgrove early this year. We couldn't believe it when we saw its reg. no. and being a Martini we had to have it :D !
