I joined at the car show last year, so far have been unable to get to the meetings. 1st Monday in the month, due to the weather and work committments, but hopefully that will change shortly.
My car is a 1979 924 in dark brown, just having some work done on the body , - that is the body of the car, at Lodge Sports, hopefully will have her back in the next two weeks, I am seriously suffering withdrawal symptoms, & that is from not being able to look at her parked up let alone not being able to drive her. Ohh well only a matter of 604800 sec till I get her back. I will post a picture when I can.

Hi & welcome
And I'm to polite to make comments about your body unlike Graham

I must admit my 944 is off the road at the minute & I'm missing driving it!

Welcome to the forum. Good to know you're enjoying your car enough to suffer withdrawal.

The wait will be worth it :D

I did call at the garage but the car has been stored for the weekend.

It was only part way through the work being done that I kicked myself as I realised that I did not have any before photos. The ones I have do not show the condition, possibly because of the way I took the photos I did not want to show the scratches. However my mechanic Mike from Lodge sports service station, has done me proud, he waited until the bodywork was rubbed down and then took some photos which he is going to put on a disc for me, the ones I have seen, show it was worse than I thought, whoever had it before me had a lot of filler. I must admit what I have seen so far I am pleased with, and the next time my pet cat jumps onto the bonnet from the high fence, he may end up in a violin.

Replace your wash mit with the cat next time you clean the car, that should keep it off the bonnet.
