Good afternoon all,

Sent off my membership application thingy the other day, heard that TIPEC was generally more friendly than PCGB so thought I would give it a go.

I have a 1987 Carrera Targa Sport, bought it about 18 months ago and am very fond of it. Not a daily driver so it spends a lot of time being polished in the garage (sad, I know) but does come out for high-speed blasts on nice days. Its claim to fame was that it was used in the DVLA advertising campaign last year.

Our next one being Monday 23rd March at Whittlebury Hall from 19.30

Meguiars Saturday 28th March for a paintwork demonstration from 9.30.

I shall do my best to get there for the 23rd, may have a soon-to-be-TIPEC-member friend with me as well.

Meguiars - aren't they Daventry based? If so, may head there as well as very close to me.

hello and welcome, used in the DVLA ads, so wheres the tax disc ?

Along with wanting me to remove the rear wiper (which I refused) they also pulled off the tax disc. How this represents a good image for the regulatory body for motoring, I don't know, but it made them happy.

I did an article on the photoshoot for Porsche Post (boo, hiss) which I am happy to post here if anyone is interested? (Full of sarcasm and the odd profanity, not what they wanted so the published version was heavily edited).
