[color=#4040BF][color=#BF0000]Well i have made the leap and purchased a 944 this May and now after much research is in its double garage for the winter. I have a couple of spanners courtesy of Halfords, car jacks, a welder courtesy my mate chipp and a book.... looking through various website forums i decided that this one could help me through the long winter when for sure i will need some advice in the very near future.

1st Job tear out interior as its very wet and stinks...

2nd Weld additional steel under rear support mounts where a bodge weld has been done before

3rd Remove both inner and outer sills and replace with nice new ones that are not full of filler ect

These jobs start Friday.

Good luck with the project.

First tip, make sure you get the sills on level. I've recently had a mare at work trying to correct sills installed sloping.

Thanx for the tip. :D

I have purchased OM part sills which seem to be made very well however, they don't seem to have any drain holes at the bottom of the new sills. When you fitted yours, did you make the holes or were they already cut out? if so, can you give me an idea of firstly how many there are and how big i should make them?

Cheers
Rob
