So my story is similar to lots of mid life blokes, i bought a boxster a while back after wanting one for years and absolutly love it, its an oldie at 02 but lovely condition with fsh but higher mileage for a porsche.. But then on a mountain bike ride a few weeks ago i found a guards red porsche 944 S2 3 litre in what can only be described as undergrowth so i knocked on the owners door. It was parked up around 2 years ago due to ill health and that is where it stood and became over grown and part of the hedge.. A deal was done and i almost feel guilty for the sum i paid to a really lovely couple, they asked me to please bring it back when its all done for a look as although the car had been left standing they absolutly love it. To my surprise it has fsh all stamped up to just before it was left. Anyhow the whole car is solid, sills, arches, underneath, floors, doors under bonnet, in the boot have no rot whatsoever the only small amount of rust is lower part of the drivers wing where the stone chip has lifted.. I still have to recomission the engine and have not started it yet so fingers crossed with that side of things. |
