Hello everyone! :newb:
Just wanted to say a quick hello, I've recently purchased an early 944 turbo and are looking forward to the journey of owning and upgrading the car. I want to try and find a balance of upgrading the performance/reliability of the car without sacrificing to much of the originality, any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated in my quest!
Thanks
Andy

Welcome, and nice choice of car, perhaps a picture or 2?

Before you set about changing stuff and bolting shiney stuff to your car I would suggest coming up with a plan / clear purpose for what you want to use the car for or get out of it. This will help focus what upgrades / aftermarket parts you might need or if there are Porsche parts that will achieve your goals. This would help the rest of us make suitable suggestions. There is a big difference between having a car you want to show and shine compared with something you want to hammer around a track. Or perhaps just a fast road car with crisp handling?

The good news is that for 'refreshing' the car i.e. suspension mounts, bushings, springs, shocks and many many other components are available direct from Porsche, and there are a decent number of specialist aftermarket suppliers in the UK and worldwide.

I would suggest that before 'boosting' performance that you get the fundamentals of the car right first.

All the best and good luck with the project.
