Evening Folks, First time joiner of TiPEC, something I've been meaning to do for a while since letting my "other" membership lapse. Owned my 964 Turbo 3.3 since March 2011 but only drove her for about 6 months before deciding to embark on what has become a monumental (and frankly daft) project. Started off by intending to do a "simple" EFI conversion....well...let's just say the slippery slope has another victim, and the project has extended far beyond the original scope, with a healthy dose of OCD thrown into the mix. The project has had a number of set-backs along the way and has tested my limits of sanity to the very max. As well as my wallet. But working very closely with Chris over at TurboKraft in the US has been a great experience; he's now very much somebody I consider a good mate, a superb wingman every step of the way. I've documented the whole project from (before) Day 1, and still maintain updates as-and-when they happen. Progress is ramping back up again, and am midway through the second rebuild, so it's starting to get exciting, for me at least. This is all over on Pelican Parts (hope I'm not breaking any rules for cross-posting?) >> 964 3.3 Turbo EFI Conversion using Syvecs (Life Racing) Engine Management (Digest updates also being posted on Instagram, @Spenny_.b << with a dot, some git has "my" username already!) In a nutshell, stock engine was dyno'd at 321hp. The engine now has the following mods: 98mm Carrillo pistons (nominal 3.4 litre) LN Engineering Nickie barrels Carrillo steel rods Flowed heads, dual plugged with Schrick titanium hardware 964 Carrera cams 3.2 Inlet manifold eGas fly-by-wire throttle TurboKraft bar and plate billet intercooler Garrett GT35R twinscroll turbo Twin wastegates 12x Ford EcoBoost CoP's Phase & Anti-phase boost control Knock control 2x Lambda control 2 x Exh Gast Temp control 4x Wheel sensing traction control Fuel pump control Syvecs S6+ Engine Management Rebuild #1 delivered 544hp/514lbft. With the changes for Build #2 with CR's and "other stuff", we're hoping for something beginning with a "6". Hoping to get the car on the road, mapped and shaken down in time for the annual pilgrimage to Le Mans. I'm down the other side of Canterbury in Kent, so I'm sure that once this project becomes mobile (again...Take#2...long story) I'll be popping along to the area meets for R12. Cheers for now! Spencer. |

Welcome, it would be good to see another 964 in the region. We had 3 at the Inspection day at Porsche Tonbridge on Saturday. |
