Hi Everyone

I'm Gary, just brought a Cayenne S

Has a couple of things I want to sort out,
ie I think the starter is on its way out, i've fitted a new battery and still seems like it struggles abit.

Looking forward to learning alot about these cars and attending events meeting everyone.

Hi Gary & welcome
As a fellow Cayenne owner I have have a 2005 S

Starters fail sometimes when the coolant pipes go? Have these been done? Unfortunately the starter is in the middle of the V so replacement is quite a lot of labour as all the manifolds have to come off. Whilst there if the aluminium coolant pipes haven't been fitted get it done. Worth finding a good Porsche indie to do it, I'd recommend Ray Northway at Theale he knows Cayennes well.

Hi Jim

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been looking for someone.

I've taken a little look and looks like there is stainless pipes,
But the damage may have already been done if they have failed previously.

Hi, welcome, don't forget the basic stuff like grounding straps/wires.

Hi Sam

Thanks, yes will check the cables, as there seems to be a few leading to the starter.

Hello Jason

I'm not too far away, I'm at J6 of the M40, (the cutting).

Sounds and looks nice, I don't think I can make this time.
I'm away end of next week and struggling to get everything done before I go.

but definitely would be interested in future although I will try.
