anyway i bought this early 79 2.0 litre model for a grand in january and been working it up to good health , she had been sat a while when i got her but not much has been needed to do to get her going and folk stare at this rude cheeky little red thing that blats about without a care in the world

Hi Mark. Great to hear (see?) another Yorkshire voice on here. And you have a fantastic car with the engine in the right place  .

Are you coming to the next meet (13th at The Gray Ox, Hartshead – WF15 8AL) or the treasure hunt this Sunday? Check out the Yorkshire region page (http://www.tipec.net/regions/yorkshire/) and drop Chris a mail for more info if you fancy it.

i forgot i had opened this thread and not posted pics of the machine , obviously no turbo but to my eyes its a seriously factory straight car with no changes apart from her 4 stud teledials and stainless exhaust ... and she looks so much better with the bigger pipe and certainly sounds great at high revs for it

also the top image i saw a 924 in the local village car park so shot up home , dumped the works ford focus daily driver and hopped into my 924 to run down and do a pic or two , i have searched all local car groups to try find the owner if they are local and it turns up as an ex tipec car and does have stickers for the 924 owners club too , reg on it is JAZ 8029 and it was an immaculate S
