Hello all,
I'm on the point of buying a 944 turbo, hopefully next week.
I've already read lots of useful threads and know my way around Clarkes Garage, very helpful. Keeping my fingers crossed that the sale goes through.
I'm old enough to know it's not all about the chase!

The deal is done! I bought the ex Jim French (Frenchy) 944 turbo he sold 18 months ago.
I picked the car up on Tuesday morning in London NW1 (private sale) and drove it directly to Jon Mitchell's garage (JMG Porsche) in Dorset. He is sorting out the many issues with the car.
I fly back to Southampton on 1st December to collect it and make the drive home. I'm hoping for good weather on the day.
The car is an '86 220, thick walled block with forged internals, Kalahari beige metallic and 'shitty' brown interior (I'm struggling a bit with that colour), excellent bodywork, original teledials.
Very impressed with Jon Mitchell and his team, can't fault his knowledge and customer care. He is also something of a magician, he can lighten a wallet without it feeling too painful!
Thanks to Frenchy for his help in sourcing the car and validating it's history.
