Hi everyone, new to here, read review in Tipec, everyone thinks the site and members are the best.
Hope to come along and meet some of you at events sometime.
My old 88 924s, yesterday started knocking on acceleration, passenger rear wheel. Clutch down or free wheel, silent, wondered whether worth calling AA out, to help get to garage. I'm not mechanically minds, but learning fst. Any thoughts please?
Any

Hi and welcome along. First thing I'd check would be the CV joints to make sure all the bolts are tight and give them a damn good shake to see if there's any obvious play.

Sure others will be along with suggestions.

Good luck

I agree with Russ.
Mine did this once and was a loose driveshaft/CV

I have my CV repacked with moly grease every 18 months/ 12000 miles. Technically, it shouldn't need it, but every transaxle specialist tells me they should repack them as a maintenance item.

I bet that the knocking noise could be just that!
