Hi 944 helpers, this is my first post as a recent owner of a 944S 2.5. Bought as a bit of a challenge. I have built some kit cars in the long and distance past. But have always liked the old 944, car of my era. Amongst a list of faults i'm working through i'm struggling with an idle /mixture setup. Car had the oil breather disconnected I discovered after I had bought it. If I either blank off the inlet on the intake where the breather connects or the reconnecting the breather the tickover falls slightly and if you blip the throttle the revs dip low and it stalls. Like flooding. With the breather disconnected and the intake allowed to suck additional un- metered air through the hole in the intake it is better and won't stall. The exhaust smells rich to say the least. For ref, new plugs, MAF cleaned and set on clean tracks, no air leaks found, VAC on all tubes appears good. Temp sensor tested ok.Any in ideas anyone?
